New P.B.

Not one for resting on his laurels is Dave Greally. Our new pike angler of the year continues where he left off and a day over the border saw him up his P.B to 14lb 11ozs with this fin perfect beauty. Well done Dave.

S.E.N.P.A.C. Guestspeaker

It gives me great pleasure to announce that SENPAC will be holding a slideshow and talk by well respected pike angler Mickey Jones. As many of you will know Mickey hails from Inverness and what he doesn't know about Highland piking just isn't worth knowing. Mickey has been asked by the PAC do a talk at the conference later in the year so this will give us a sneak preview. The talk will take place at The Northumbrian Piper, Fawdon, Newcastle (NE3 2AH) on Friday 25th Feb starting at 8pm and tickets are available on the door priced £2. If you like big fish with even bigger scenery this is the slideshow for you. We look forward to seeing you.

PRESENTATION NIGHT

It doesn't seem a year since our last presentation night but a year it is. Where does time go eh!

Our presentiation night this year took place on Saturday 29th January at the Northumbrian Piper.

Another good turn out from members, members family and friends meant that the small room we'd been forced to use was a tight squeeze but I think it's fair to say that a good night was had by all who attended. The Greally family(especially) would like to thank everyone who donated prizes for the raffle as it was they who took home most of them. Thanks once again to Bruce for the excellent slideshow which I know is appreciated by everyone, to Mike Bell, Denise and to all the staff at the Piper. This years winners were:

Dave Greally won both the Club Trip Championship and Pike Angler of the Year(as well as most of the raffle prizes). A deserved double for Dave as anyone who fishes through holes in ice deserves something(apart from being locked up). Not to outdone by his dad, young Aaron Greally won Junior Pike Angler of the Year. Biggest fish of the season went to Lyn Baker. A presentation night wouldn't be a presentation night without Ross Greaves and it was Ross who took home the award for the best fish caught on a lure. Simon Fairclough was another double winner as he took home the Stuart Mordue Trophy for services to the club and also the trophy for the biggest pike caught on a club trip. Unfortunately Simon was unable to attend the evening due to ill health and I'm sure I speak for all our members when i say get well soon and we hope to see you on the bank again soon.

Congratulations to all our winners and let's hope for another exciting season this year.
