Ross Greaves took part in the PAAS event on Lake Of Menteith and within the first hour boated this magnificent Esox weighing in at 26lb 5 ozs.
Ross has now taken pole position for the SENPAC biggest Pike of the year award.
Ross together with Dave Greally, Andy Eland and Dave Gardner took part in the PAC of GB Event on the water the week before. On what proved to be a difficult day for most only a few moderate fish were caught between them.

Sometimes You Just Need To Relax.
Last month the region had another one of its Jolly Boys outings. Seven members spent four days away hoping for some good weather and a few decent fish. Unfortunately that was not to be the case this time round as storm Bert decided to drop in on us at the last moment. For those that managed to fish on the Friday some success in the shape of two small Pike for Paul "Pogo" Patterson and Stuart Fairclough. The Saturday proved to be a non event as heavy snow, driving rain and strong winds enveloped us. Sunday arrived and round two of our Winter Pike league took place. A tough day for all which tested those fishing to the limits. Enormous amounts of snow melt and rain from the previous day brought water levels up with increased water pressure and this together with a vast amount of floating debris made it basically impossible to fish. Despite all that was thrown at them the lads fished on throughout the day but to no avail. The trip still worthwhile for those who attended with the usual banter and of course nightly trips to the local hostelry for food and a few drinks.
