Steve. Off To A Flyer In The 2025/26 Winter League.
The region's Pike season got off to a good start when nine members of the club headed North for our four day Jolly Boys outing. Days one and two the weather was quite favourable but only a handful of Pike caught and mostly small Jacks. Day three was the first of our Winter Pike league matches and the weather took a turn for the worse. Torrential rain throughout the day that left all those participating very wet and uncomfortable. The water managed to get through everyone's waterproofs as well. Once again a blank day for most but the reliable Steve Sandiford who was trying to retain his crown from last season got off to a great start with three fish that have given him an early lead in this year's championship. Lying in second place is Bruce Turnbull who had one blank saver on the day. The last day turned out to be dry and sunny and provided some more fish for the lads. The trips are very popular and again a good turnout with plenty laughs and banter along the way. Pictured below some more photos from last month's trip.
