THE END OF ANOTHER SENPAC YEAR.

A relatively quiet end to the Pike season for most of the region's members but on the other hand Dave Gardner and Steve Sandiford had a break away for a few days trying to catch a few Barbel. Some lovely fish caught with both of them catching personal bests.

The SENPAC trophy year runs from the start of April each year so we have just completed the 2024/25 year. The winners in the last twelve months have been Chris Graham who won the Golden Maggot trophy, Bruce Turnbull triumphed in the Summer league, Steve Sandiford won the Winter Pike championship and also had the biggest Pike on a club trip. Ross Greaves was voted the region's Pike angler of the year and he also caught the biggest lure caught Pike and finally the SENPAC trophy was jointly awarded to Andy Eland and Mike Bell for their fund raising efforts for Children's Cancer North.

FEBRUARY - RESULTS IMPROVE.

After a quiet January the fishing started to improve this last month. Steve Sandiford and Dave Gardner had some success over the border catching a few Pike the  two biggest pictured below.

Steve moved on to a much warmer climate when he went fishing off the coast of Gran Canaria catching some nice Tuna and Ray's whilst topping up his tan.

March sees the end of the SENPAC trophy year as well as the final round of our Winter Pike championship. The final round is to be contested on one of our local waters. After round five Steve Sandiford is in the lead with Ross Greaves and Stuart Fairclough in joint second place.

A QUIET START TO THE NEW YEAR.

A very quiet SENPAC month for January. Icy conditions, rain and snow keeping the members indoors and not on the bank. Round four of the region's Winter Pike championship did take place on one of our local reservoirs in very cold conditions. Extremely high water and wind chill did not help matters on the day and resulted in everyone involved enduring a very frustrating day and a blank session. Going into round five of the championship this month Steve Sandiford still holds a decent lead over Stu Fairclough and Ross Greaves.

                                              Success For Steve.

The two biggest Pike of the month fell to Steve Sandiford and Andy Eland. Hopefully February will bring the members a change of luck,
