20lber

S.E.N.P.A.C. bloggs are like Northern busses. Nothing for ages then three come along together. Thought this was worth posting though even though its not a p.b. Lyn managed to sneak this one out over the weekend while out with the rest of the family. It was the only bite of the day and came within the last half hour of the trip. 20lb 8ozs. Well done Lyn, cracking fish.

Presentation Night

S.E.N.P.A.C. held their annual presentation night on Saturday 30th January 2010 at our new venue, The Northumbrian Piper. It's the best turnout that I,ve ever seen at any event held by the club in all the years since I joined the club. Thanks to all who attended despite the dreadful weather.

Thanks to the staff of the Piper who laid on a superb buffet, to Bruce for the cracking slide show, to Mike who acted as compere for the evening and Lyn for presenting the awards.Pike angler of the year went to Paul Proctor. Stuart Fairclough won the club championship and also caught the biggest fish on a club trip. Ross Greaves also won two awards, biggest fish of the year and best fish caught on a lure. Bruce Turnbull won the Stuart Mordue trophy and Luke Baker won the junior angler of the year. A special award was presented to Dennis Fearon for the best quote of the year which is unfortunately unprintable and to Susan for all she's done for us over the years. Congratulations to you all.

New Venue.

S.E.N.P.A.C. have had to move away from the Holystone pub due to the retirement of Dennis and Susan Fearon. I'm sure we'd all like to thank both Dennis and Susan for the fantastic support they have given us over the years. Hopefully we'll now see more of Dennis on the banks We now have a new venue for our monthly meetings, the Northumbrian Piper, Red House. Meetings will continue to take place on the last Tuesday of each month at 8:00p.m.

Another P.B. for Aaron.

Well, young Aaron certainly seems to have the knack of this pike fishing game. Just a few months into his career and already he's tackling the bigger girls{ and coming out on top}. A cracking new P.B. of 13lb 8ozs sees him leading the way in the junior section not to mention putting the wind up us senior members. Well done Aaron. You've got your dad in your sights now.

Two New P.Bs.

Two new P.B.s to report and it's our two youngest members who grab the headlines. Aaron Greally is trying to outdo his dad and this is his best to date. A nice fish of 6lb from Loch Ken and Luke Baker IS oudoing his dad {and mam} in recent trips and this is his best so far. A highland fish of 11lb 7ozs. Well done boys. Keep the fish coming.

Summer News

Another pike season is upon us but there were some notable catches during the summer months. New members Alan Simpson and Paul Barrass both caught thier first fish setting a benchmark for the coming season and Paul Proctor upped his P.B to 13lb 8ozs. A belated congratulations must go to Stuart Fairclough, our new club champion who brought an end to the reign of Dave Gardner. Well done lads. Let's hope we see your faces on here in coming months. Let's hope that we see a bit more of Mr. Greally junior. Young Aaron looks as though he is following in his dads footsteps seen in this photo to be catching a decent livebait. It would be nice to have a few more junior members at the club to give Luke a bit of competition. Get him joined up Dave. Start them young and be prepared to be put in the shade. Good luck to all members and may your lines be tight.
