Last month the region had some really good results with some cracking fish being caught but we also had to suffer the severe weather during the region's Jolly Boys outing to the lake district. As usual the banter and craic was of the highest order along with our accommodation. The second round of the region's Winter championship took place on our first full day on one of the larger waters. A glorious day with plenty sunshine and a light breeze saw eight members hoping for a good day. It certainly did not work out the way we would have wished for. Seven hours into the competition and nearly twenty rods and not a touch. At that point we felt as though no Pike existed in the place but luckily Dave Gardner caught the only Pike of the day at 13lbs.

An Appearance On An Anglers Diary.
On the Sunday some of the lads opted for the same venue as the previous day whilst others ventured to a different water. The day got off to a good start for Dave Greally who caught a small Pike but then storm Dani hit us all with tremendous rain and high winds. We all got a good soaking along with all our equipment. The next couple of days were basically spent indoors drying off the gear and keeping warm. Fishing did resume later on in the week when the weather improved but due to water levels and conditions sport was very slow.
Pogo. Success After The Storm.
So that was the story behind the Jolly Boys outing but the fishing was to get much better a few days later as some of the lads headed North for the two day PAC Lake Of Menteith event. Getting an early start on the Friday Dave Greally, Andy Eland and Paul Proctor had a very productive time on some Scottish lochs.

Time For A Menty Nap. A great boost for our SENPAC Childrens Cancer North appeal this month with everything we raised being doubled in The Big Gives Christmas Challenge match funding campaign with pledges from The Encore Group and The Hospital Saturday Fund. We cannot thank people enough for the support and donations we have received this last month. Our total raised to date has now leapt up to
£8,544.00.
We would just like to take this opportunity in thanking those who support our region throughout the world. We wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and tight lines from us all at SENPAC.
